This state of the art building in downtown Charlotte is less than ten years old and combines a hall of fame with a museum. It’s got four full floors dedicated to everything racing from the high tech side to the classic stock cars of old.

National Corvette Museum

Many young race fans dream about driving a Corvette, the classic American muscle car when they grow up. So, it’s no wonder the National Corvette Museum is a real treat for many. Bonneville Salt Flats

The Bonneville Salt Flats is home to some of the world’s greatest land speed records. This huge expanse of land is hard white salt and flat as can be for 30,000 acres. Mark your calendars because there are a handful of major events that are held here every year. The Flats are right off Interstate 80 on the Utah and Nevada border.

Any fan of the racecar will recognize a Shelby right away. Carroll Shelby created this iconic car and, for many, changed the face of car racing forever. So, it makes sense, so many people make time to go to the Shelby Factory when in Las Vegas to take a tour. It’s free to visit, and tours are offered daily except on Sundays. 

Daytona International Speedway

Daytona is home to one of the best beach atmospheres in the country. But, it’s also home to the Daytona International Speedway. The Speedway is home to the Daytona 500, one of the premier events in racing. If you can’t make it for the race, never fear, visitors can explore the track and take a tour of the speedway.
