The College World Series has been held every June in Omaha since 1950! It’s the culmination of the NCAA Division 1 baseball playoffs. Baseball fans love this event since they’ll likely witness at least a few future Major Leaguers playing.

If you love youth baseball (or have a child playing competitively), you might have heard of the Triple Crown Slump Buster. This tournament brings nearly 600 teams from around the country together in a giant event.

Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo & Aquarium

Named as the country’s best Zoo in 2014, the Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo & Aquarium has some of the world’s largest cat complexes. It also has an indoor desert, rainforest, and nocturnal exhibit. This is one spot you do not want to miss.

Lauritzen Gardens 

Botanical gardens are always a big draw and the Lauritzen Gardens is one of the best out there. It’s open daily for visitors to wander over 100 acres of gardens or spend time in the visitor’s center, cafe, and gift shop.

Old Market

The Old Market area of town is considered the heart of Omaha. Here, you’ll find many popular museums, as well as coffee shops, and stores to wander along cobblestone lined streets. You can even rest your weary feet and explore this area via horse and carriage!

Craft Brews

Omaha has embraced the world of craft brewing, and you can find more than a dozen spots to visit just in the city itself. Take a self-guided tour, or join in on one of the many hosted events that many visitors and tourists love to enjoy.
