It’s February, which means that love is in the air. If you need some inspiration to take your better half on a Valentine’s Day getaway, read on about our own writers’ favorite romantic vacations.
“California Coast, at Half Moon Bay at a charming bed and breakfast called the Mill Rose Inn with so gorgeous a rose garden you cannot believe it is real, in which is nestled a private hot tub, followed by a fruit and cheese plate ready and waiting in your room.”
“Romance is definitely in the air (and sand) of Sanibel Island. The island in Florida, not far off the coast of Fort Myers, is private and secluded. Guests can wiggle their toes in the beautiful white sand while overlooking crystal clear water and breathtaking sunsets. Of course, the trip would have been much more romantic if it weren’t a family vacation. ;)”
“The most romantic vacation I’ve been on was to Catalina Island located 22 Miles southwest off the coast of Los Angeles. Catalina was the perfect destination to walk around the unique shops, enjoy a fresh meal overlooking the Pacific Ocean and spending time adventuring around the island.”
“The most romantic vacation I’ve ever been on was a trip to Savannah, Georgia. I wasn’t with a significant other, but the city just exuded a truly magical, enchanting feel that made me fall in love with it!”
“The most romantic vacation I’ve ever been on was – of course – my honeymoon! We took a road trip visiting national parks in the Southwest. The most romantic place we stayed was easily the Los Altos Bed & Breakfast in Grand Junction, CO. It’s absolutely gorgeous, situated on a hill overlooking the city and the Grand Mesa. Our room featured two balconies, a fireplace and a huge soaker tub.”
