You might forget that New Haven is a city on the sea. So to protect its harbor, a lighthouse was first built in 1805. It’s been re-built and updated through the decades, but you can still visit Five Mile Point Light at the Lighthouse Point Park

Do you love burgers? Well, Louis’ Lunch should be first on your bucket list. After all, it’s the home of the burger. Don’t take our word for it, the Library of Congress has decreed it! This tiny outpost was built in the late1800s and is still slinging burgers today. 

How to Get to New Haven, CT

Two major highways run through New England, New Haven is at the intersection of both. Interstate 95, runs right along the coastline and Interstate 93, which heads North towards Canada. So, New Haven is an ideal stopping point for a road trip for those who are heading from Maine or Boston towards New York or want to head towards Vermont and New Hampshire.
