March is here and that means that baseball’s Every March baseball is in full swing at spring training in the sunny states of Florida and Arizona. This should be on every fans bucket list. few weeks. If you are a big baseball fan, then a spring training road trip has to be on your bucket list!
Spring training runs from mid February right up to late March each year. It is when all of the Major League Baseball teams have their training camps in warm and sunny locations to get themselves ready for the start of the season.

Most of the training camps are open to visitors, and a lot of the players will actually stop and chat with fans and even sign autographs during spring training because the crowds are generally smaller and and the atmosphere is a lot more relaxed.

To make things easier for those of us traveling, spring training is held in just two states, Florida and Arizona. This is perfect if you are on a road trip, because it’s going to offer you the opportunity to visit a few training camps if you want. Or follow your team around for some local games.

Luckily, the teams training facilities are usually clustered just around the outskirts of some of the major cities. For example the Grapefruit League (Florida) you’ll find the Yankees, Blue Jays and Phillies around Tampa, the Braves and Astros are outside Orlando and Fort Myers is home to the Red Sox and Twins.

The same is true for those teams who play in the teams that play in the Cactus League in Arizona, and here it’s even easier because all of the teams are clustered in just two areas. The majority of the teams like the Rockies, Giants, A’s, Dodgers, Brewers, Rangers and Indians are all located around the outskirts of greater Phoenix.

Many of the area hotels and restaurants offer deals during spring training, including some that have packages with game tickets, so it’s an easy way to find a lot of great deals to have a lot of fun in a nice warm climate!
