There is nothing better than a plate of savory chicken wings to tickle your taste buds. Hot, mild, spicy, sweet or flavored – it’s all finger lickin’ good! Mmmm… Are you hungry yet?

There are a number of ways to prepare one of America’s favorite dishes, but you don’t have to wait until the next Super Bowl to enjoy eating it. If you aren’t feeling up to cooking in your own home, then we invite you to explore one (or more) of the locally owned establishments that serve up some of America’s best buffalo wings all day long.

Good wings are hard to find, so why wing it? DrivetheNation.com’s team of researchers (AKA taste testers) has compiled our list of the best buffalo wings in the USA:

Wing Dome – Seattle, WA

It’s all about wings at the Wing Dome in Seattle. In fact, the restaurant is currently hosting a “March Mayhem” event for a chance to win one year of free hot wings. Whether you are up for a 7-alarm challenge, want your wings smothered in a special sauce or are in the mood for something a little different, Wing Dome has you and your taste buds covered.

Anchor Bar – Buffalo, NY Considered the “home of the original buffalo wings”, Anchor Bar has come a long way since its tasty invention in 1964. Still operating in multiple locations in and around Buffalo, the restaurant has also expanded to include an online ecommerce platform, where customers can order their favorite sauces online and prepare the wings themselves.

Papa Bees – Longwood, FL I’ve been to several wing joints in Central Florida, but Papa Bees consistently leads the pack. Trying to find good wings is similar to trying to find a cheap sports car. It doesn’t happen often. Papa Bees offers inexpensive wings and meals that are full of flavor, and full of volume. If you are nearly in a food coma by the time you request your check, then you know you’ve done it right.

Belly Shack – Chicago, IL What’s in your belly? Every Sunday during football season, Chef Bill Kim serves crispy jumbo chicken wings that are first coated in rice flour, then deep-fried and tossed in a spicy barbecue sauce made with red curry paste, garlic, ginger and lemongrass. Paired with jalapeño-cheddar cornbread and warm potato salad, your belly will surely thank you later.

Big Bob Gibson Bar-B-Q; Decatur, AL

In 1925, Bob Gibson served barbecue from a makeshift table made of oak planks nailed to a large sycamore tree in his back yard. Since that time, the family restaurant has continued to thrive for more than 75 years and 4 generations. The restaurant’s cookbook has also garnered national attention and gifts, rubs and other merchandise can be purchased online.

We know your stomach is probably growling by now, so we don’t want you to have to wait any longer. Enjoy your wings and then tweet your experience to @drivethenation when you are finished!
