Yep! That’s yours truly as a budding road tripper. I spent a great deal of my life traveling up and down the highways of Florida. Wanna know the crazy thing? I am still actively traveling up and down those same highways. And so is my daughter. That’s right! My girl in all of her 3 months has traveled more times than any other infant that I know. With the summer coming up, she’ll be taking a ton of trips with my husband and I and we already have a routine in place.

We’ve learned a few things along the way and while each baby differs in what they like and don’t like, most babies love to be engaged, especially on long road trips. Sure some babies will sleep but most will be awake and checking out their surroundings. We’ve learned from the beginning that encouraging independent play and discovery is very important for our little one. We’ve attached toys to our daughter’s car seat that entertain her. It sounds like the simplest little tip, but it has made a huge difference in how our baby acts on the road. Our little one can usually get a good 30 minutes of play time out of those toys. These toys can also be removed and used for play time. Parents and grandparents alike will appreciate these little toys and babies will enjoy the added playtime while travel.
