Two pets per room maximum; dogs and cats are accepted; service animals are accommodated without fee per ADA requirements. The hotel is well-suited to road-trip travelers with dogs, providing a designated outdoor pet area and easy ground-floor access for the pet-friendly rooms.

The free breakfast is a standard mid-range chain offering, served 6:30am to 9:30am Monday through Friday with extended weekend hours. The hotel's hospitality program reflects Ramada's mid-range positioning. Front-desk staff are professional rather than personal, the check-in process is efficient, the housekeeping is reliable, and the maintenance is responsive. The hotel does not pretend to boutique attention; what it provides is the predictability that road travelers need — same product as every Ramada in the chain, predictable quality, no surprises. For travelers who have driven 400 miles across the desert and need a shower and a bed, the predictability is itself the value.

For Route 66 travelers arriving from Arizona (eastbound) the hotel is the first major-brand option after crossing the Colorado River; for travelers departing west toward Barstow and the Mojave, the hotel is the last major-brand option before 100+ miles of mostly empty desert highway.

Parking is free, ample, and well-lit. The lot accommodates passenger cars, pickup trucks, RVs, motorcycles, and small trailers; oversized parking is available at the lot's perimeter for travel trailers, boat trailers, and the like. Trailered boats heading to the Colorado River parks are a common sight in the lot. Motorcycle travelers (a substantial percentage of summer Route 66 traffic) appreciate the covered overhang at the entrance for unloading luggage during the inevitable afternoon thunderstorms of the monsoon season.

Walking distances: El Garces and the Route 66 Park are about a mile (a 20-minute walk along J Street and Broadway, comfortable in cool weather but exhausting in summer heat); the Wagon Wheel Restaurant is about a mile in the same direction; Denny's and several other chain restaurants are within a quarter-mile on J Street near the I-40 interchange; the Colorado River parks are about three miles away (driving only). Most guests use cars for everything beyond the immediate vicinity, though spring and fall weather support walking exploration of the historic downtown.
